HP opal: HP will also put a 7-inch with WebOS tablet

HP TouchPad will have a little brother. You already seen it coming and little by little is confirmed, although the wait to get it in stores yet aims to be long. HP Opal is the name of development, although it is expected to change before it reaches the device to the market.

It is known that it will be 7 inches and that it will have a size of around 180 × 144 × 13 mm, perhaps a bit wide for the great competitor who stays in the 0.86 inches. The screen can be one of the strong points, because it will have higher tablet resolution but these 7 inch discussed: 1. 024 × 768. It will of course be capacitive type and we hope that also multi-touch. Can you imagine a tablet with a resistive? It would be digging its own grave, the less.

Few details are known of Opal HP apart from those who commented here. WebOS is an excellent operating system and has one of its strengths in tablet-mobile synchronization. HP is a giant, one of the most veteran and knows well to do his work, although it should not be forgotten that TouchPad is its first tablet and Opal aims to be the second. In the Tablet market no one is giving away nothing and no one is going to do in the future.

Initially expected that HP Opal is launched to the market in the month of September, but this date is not official and may be modified in the future. Its price is still completely unknown, but by reference to the rumors that put the TouchPad in the range of $500 to 600 Opal should be substantially cheaper.
