Lacie Little Big Disk Thunderbolt

I already commented a few days ago that LaCie would be the first company to launch a device compatible with the new connection Thunderbolt developed by Intel and Apple platform. It's a version of the lacie Little big disk. Unfortunately, you still need to wait until summer to ensure that the owners of some of the new Apple computers can plug this Little big disk.

With casing of aluminum and the usual design of the House, the lacie Little big disk Thunderbolt version weighs less than 500 grams and incorporates two units SSD Intel 510 of 250 GB. What seems a beastly boasted in a matter of storage is reasonably necessary in the light of the transfer speeds of Thunderbolt, with two bidirectional channels to a bandwidth of 10Gbps. The system is able to transfer a film in high definition media in about 30 seconds.

Thunderbolt at the same time incorporates protocols PCI Express and DisplayPort, and it is capable of making copies of records of considerable weight and transmit, for example, high definition films simultaneously. Lacie has not revealed only the price. With two internal drives in solid state and this capacity, we can venture that it will not cheap.
