Packard Bell Maestro 230 LED HD

Last Thursday we attended the event in which Packard Bell taught us its novelties for 2011. Among a sea of laptops and the new tablet of the company that did not let us turn on because still had not installed Honeycomb, we find an old acquaintance, the Packard Bell Maestro 230 LED HD monitor.

Although the lighting for the event was not too given to photograph a gadget but more like to dance something of the Bee Gees, we wanted to put a couple of tests to this monitor. The results are not bad, especially considering that it has a very affordable price.

The first thing we moríamos of wanting to try was, how not, support. The first images indicated an asymmetric foot so fine that it risked end up defeating his own weight. The reality, afortunádamente, is that the structure appears quite resistant splitting or just gave our hidden attempts to do so to bad milk.

The foot is metallic and is made on a single piece which appears to have continuity at the rear of the monitor and the interior of the support. That and his form at an angle gives greater stability of which appears in the photos. As a curiosity, the support elbow is a slot that serves for power and data cables while they hang antiestéticamente behind the screen. This provision, curiously, was not used by the guys from Packard Bell to display it. The rush things.

At the level of connections, packard bell Maestro 230 led hd is Spartan. HDMI, VGA and DVI are their unique credentials, although they are more than enough for most users.

The image quality of the monitor is very decent and we especially liked its angle of view, which does not lose brightness or distorts the colors for very escorados that we observe. Another issue is the response time. Packard Bell has established it in 5 milliseconds and the truth is that it is not the fastest we've seen. For testing we take a trailer in high definition passing by. The result, in light and color, is good, but do note a certain lack of sharpness in the moments in which the good of Jason ran as a desperate in front of giant Scorpions.

We can further deduce without additional testing. The contrast and brightness are complicated to judge at a local with more lasers than an imperial destroyer class alpha. At least, we've stayed quiet about his physical stability and our view is that it can be a good choice, regarding money, to do with a 23-inch LED monitor.
